7. Conclusion

The management of the restoration projects described in this article required a major paradigm shift on the part of the project owner: the riparian as an ally, not a constraint!

This change in attitude towards local residents depends on a number of factors, some of which are linked to the policies of the municipality hosting the project. The technical complexity of such projects is not necessarily an encouraging factor in generating new constraints.

Reconciling the problems associated with hydrogeology and hydraulics, which have been extensively described in this article, with the hazards of developing the desired ecological ecosystem, can very easily lead the project owner to turn in on himself and concentrate on a technical approach to the project.
