3. Lean to improve sorting center performance

The question posed was: "How can the sorting center absorb the incoming high-volume flow while improving its industrial performance?

In other words, how :

  • set up a truly continuous flow that increases the sorting center's absorption capacity to comply with environmental regulations?

  • while maximizing outgoing sales?

  • and minimizing additional production costs?

In view of the priorities identified, and of our production system, we immediately made it a priority to improve our OEE in order to reduce as far as possible our reliance on subcontracting, and to work under calm sorting conditions.
