1. Mechanical hazards

The standard (NF EN ISO 12100-1, § 4.2.1) explains :

" ... These are the dangerous phenomena associated with a machine, machine parts or surfaces, tools, parts, loads, projections of solid materials or fluids which may have the following effects: crushing, shearing, cutting or severing, catching, rolling, dragging or entrapment, impact, perforation or pitting, friction or abrasion, injection of fluid under high pressure (dangerous phenomenon of ejection)..."
