1. Healthcare simulation

1.1 Concept and definition

Healthcare simulation is a teaching method aimed at all healthcare professionals (medical and paramedical). Based on the example of aeronautics, simulation scenarios in clinical or medical environments are scripted from real clinical situations, ranging from care at the patient's bedside to surgery in the operating theater. Simulation also supports the acquisition of skills in the care sector, which has become increasingly complex as a result of technical progress since the late 1990s.
