4. Conclusion

Introduced in the 1980s, Computer-Assisted Medical and Surgical Procedures (CAMS) are now part of clinical practice, with numerous industrial products used to help plan clinical procedures or provide intraoperative assistance. The terminology "medical robotics" has become part of everyday language for the general public, even though GMCAO devices cover a much broader spectrum than the simple field of robotics. In particular, one of the challenges of the coming years will be to ensure that these GMCAO devices take into account the deformations of the human body's soft tissues. The field of biomechanics has taken up this problem
