allograft; allograft

The most common transplant, where donor and recipient are part of the same biological species but, being two distinct individuals, have different major histocompatibility complexes.

autograft; autograft

Transplant in which donor and recipient are the same person. The success rate of this type of transplant is maximum, since the major histocompatibility complex of the donor and recipient is the same. No immune reaction is triggered.
