Chemotherapeutic drugs are highly toxic molecules, mainly to all dividing cells, and in particular to blood stem cells. These side effects can be life-threatening, and are often dose-dependent. It is therefore important to target these molecules at their point of action, whether at regional level for a limb, at local level for an organ, or even at cellular level to target only diseased cells if possible
