3.1 Recycling coating sauces in the paper industry

Coating sauces are used in the paper industry in the finishing phases of papermaking. This coating adds surface properties to the paper substrate. Coating consists in applying a coating to one or both sides of the paper to improve its printability: by filling voids and covering fibers, the surface of the substrate, initially rough and macroporous, becomes a plain microporous surface.
