3.1 Fogging/drying process

The fogging/drying process is a continuous, single-step process that transforms an initial liquid formulation into a dry microparticulate form. The initial liquid formulation may consist of :

  • or a solution of active ingredient and coating material;

  • a dispersion of solid particles of active ingredient in a solution or emulsion of coating material;

  • or an emulsion of active material in a solution of coating material.
