3. Anti-hair loss agents and hair growth activators

Hair loss –, especially when it occurs early –, can cause real suffering for those affected. In an attempt to remedy this, care products and treatments have been developed based on knowledge of hair biology and hair growth cycles. As alopecia, in all its forms, is the result of hair loss exceeding hair growth, treatments either target the prevention of hair loss, using anti-hair loss active ingredients, or stimulate growth, using growth activators, which are much more numerous.

Due to the presence of active substance(s), hair care products are similar to medicines.
