5. Examples of formulations
There are many cosmetic ranges that claim to prevent hair loss or stimulate hair growth. They mainly consist of shampoos, emulsions, lotions, and serums containing one or more active ingredients, either natural or synthetic. The range is then complemented by other products such as conditioners and hair masks.
Several characteristics are sought when introducing an anti-hair loss or hair growth active ingredient into a formula. These points, grouped together in a set of specifications that vary in complexity depending on the application, are as follows:
the type and form of the asset (powder, oily, aqueous, etc.) determined based on the formula and the desired end product;
the results of objectification tests on the selected active ingredient and its effect on the desired target action...
