5. Performance tests

Various tests are carried out to verify nail polish quality and compliance with specifications. These performance tests, generally carried out in vitro, are detailed below. Most of them are standardized, and therefore regulated by ASTM, DIN or ISO standards. They are often similar to those carried out on inks or paints.
