1. Considerations related to monitoring and formulation
Formulation is complex and essential; it is subject to standards, particularly in terms of ingredient selection and the degradation of formulated products. It can be defined as the process involved in creating product mixtures, which includes combining and shaping ingredients in order to obtain a commercial product that fulfills the functions defined in a set of specifications. A distinction must therefore be made between active ingredients to be used via auxiliary materials and physical processes such as dispersion, mixing, heating, etc. In addition to those related to the intended use, economic aspects also relate to the costs of formulated products. Thus, the price of auxiliary products, the shelf life of the mixture obtained, the time required to produce it, health constraints, etc. are also parameters that must be taken into account.
