7. Conclusion

Industrial processes are at the heart of environmental and societal concerns. The publication of the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry by Anastas in 1998, soon followed by the 12 Principles of Green Engineering, laid the foundations for the implementation of more modern, sustainable processes.
