6. CBTC system implementation

6.1 New line

Since around 2010, almost all new urban transport lines have been equipped with CBTC systems.

The structuring choices are :

• should the system be operated with or without drivers?

• Do we deploy train detection equipment?

• is a stand-alone interlocking subsystem deployed?

• which ground-train communication technology to choose?
