Model-Based Safety Assessment (MBSA)

It is an approach in which design engineers and reliability engineers use a similar tool, based on a system model.

Failure in time (FIT)

Unit used in the field of reliability. It corresponds to the hourly failure rate of a component. 1 FIT is equal to 10 ^–9 h ^–1 .
