Canopy aspect ratio; wing aspect ratio

Quotient of the square of the wingspan by the wing area, it represents the ratio between the wingspan and the mean chord, and therefore the more or less elongated nature of the wing as seen from above.

Wing profile chord; wing chord

Segment between the leading and trailing edges of a profile, and by extension the length of this segment.

generalized predictive control (GPC); contrôle prédictif généralisé (CPG)

A control technique that anticipates the future behavior of the controlled system by means of a dynamic model that simulates the effect of the future disturbance, also defining the anticipatory corrective control.
