CENAQ
CENAQ (electrical connection of ships at berth) consists of supplying ships in port with electricity distributed from land, so that they can turn off their engines when they are at berth.
Block coefficient
A dimensionless coefficient representing the ratio of the volume of the ship's hull below the waterline to the volume of a rectangular block with length between perpendiculars (L pp ), width (B), and draft (T max ).
Fardage
All the parts of a ship (superstructure, rigging, etc.) that catch the wind.
Gross tonnage
Gross tonnage refers to one of the methods used to measure a ship's carrying capacity (a figure without a unit)....
