3. What about solutions?

There are several ways in which the company can meet the requirements set out in the previous paragraph.

3.1 Outsourcing calibration operations

There is a sufficiently wide range of services on the market in this field to meet the majority of companies' requirements in most areas of measurement. These service providers are often accredited by COFRAC, which guarantees the quality of their services. It should be noted, however, that accreditation is issued :

  • for a well-defined quantity, for example in electricity, the measurement of DC voltages ;

  • for a bounded range, for example from 1 to 500 volts DC ;

  • and with a calibration uncertainty validated...
