Bias

"Difference between the mathematical expectation of a measurement result and a reference value" [source: ISO 5725-1: 1994 - 3.8].

Note: the mathematical expectation generally corresponds to the average.

Intermediate loyalty conditions

"Measurement conditions in a set of conditions that include the same measurement procedure, the same location and repeated measurements on the same or similar objects over an extended period of time, but may include other conditions that are varied.

Note 1: Conditions that are varied may include new calibrations, standards, operators and measurement systems.

Note 2: It is appropriate for a condition specification to contain, as far as possible, the conditions that are varied and those that remain unchanged."...
