4. How can we speed up the accreditation process?

To speed up the accreditation process, the laboratory must be highly responsive to requests from the accreditation body, in particular by :

  • completing questionnaires ;

  • transmission of additional documents ;

  • signature of agreements ;

  • payment of invoices due to the accreditation body;

  • accepting or rejecting the composition of the assessment team;

  • effective implementation of any corrective plans.

For initial accreditation on standardized methods in a field covered by accreditation, i.e. the simplest case, accreditation can be obtained within a minimum of five months.
