Pending connections

It is the electron cloud of an atom that is not bound to another atom.

DFT (Density functional theory) –

It is a method of simulating quantum mechanics that allows a wide variety of properties of almost all types of atomic systems to be calculated.

ESH (Standard Hydrogen Electrode) – Standard hydrogen electrode

Absolute reference electrode in electrochemistry against which all oxidation-reduction potentials are measured.

Shear force –

Force existing between an object oscillating parallel to the surface of a sample. This force dampens the amplitude of the oscillation, can be quantified, and used to regulate the tip-surface distance in near-field microscopy.
