5.1 Polymers

In 2011, the ANR asked a working group to consider the impact that the application of the REACH regulation could have throughout the polymer value chain, from producer to end user .

High-molecular-weight polymers are considered "registration-exempt substances" (in REACH terminology). As such, they are not subject to declaration under the articles of titles II (Registration of substances) and VI (Evaluation) of the regulation (regulation 1907/2006; chap I; art 2 paragraph 9; p.L396/53).
