2. Techniques for reducing energy consumption

There is a great deal of research into the definition of techniques for reducing energy consumption. In industrial robotics, this is due to the fact that manufacturing industries are concerned about reducing their electricity consumption due to the rising trend in energy prices. For example, the study mentions that, in a typical body shop, around 300 to 500 parts are assembled by some 800 to 1,200 robots before being sent to the paint shop
