9. Conclusion

Software associated with measuring machines has gradually enabled us to control the geometric quality of machines, and to gain a better understanding of defects in the three-dimensional geometry of parts. Measuring machine manufacturers are improving their products with software that takes into account faults in the trajectories of probe movements, the objective being to guarantee, in an orthonormal frame of reference, the accuracy of the coordinates of a point measured on a surface. Software designers limit deviations due to algorithms, by proposing only dimensional calculations defined without interpretation ambiguities between ideal geometric elements, themselves defined by certified optimization algorithms.
