4. Integrating the citizen into air quality analysis through metrology of dust deposits on biomaterials
Generally speaking, air quality metrology, as soon as it is associated with political decision-making, comes up against two difficulties: on the one hand, mastering the uncertainties associated with measurements, and on the other, the traceability of atmospheric pollutant dispersions. In addition to these problems of constructing and standardizing the figures required for reliable interpretation of the scientific information produced, there is the added difficulty of calibrating the equipment needed to control the homogeneity of measurements from different processes. This is the challenge that the project sets out to meet, in order to establish sufficient conditions for the involvement of all stakeholders in the consultation process upstream of the political decision.
