2. Filling small containers

Preliminary remark

It is the filling mode that determines these different principles. All other operations carried out by the carousel or in-line filling machine (container infeed, filling, managing the level or pressure of the gaseous phase in the filler's tank, etc.) will be the same from one process to another.

Two terminologies are used to describe the operation of filling a container:

  • filling machines ;

  • filler and filling machines.

The first term, for no real reason, is mainly used for flat liquids such as still wines. The second, derived from the term tirage or tireuse, is more commonly used in brewing and carbonated liquids.
