2. Scope of the plastics regulation

2.1 According to regulation 10/2011

Article 2 of the plastics regulation states that it applies to the following materials and articles (hereinafter articles) placed on the market in the European Union:

• articles and parts thereof made exclusively of plastics;

• multi-layer articles, whether the individual plastic layers are bonded together with glue or by any other means;

• these articles referred to in the two preceding indents and which are printed or coated (§ 2.2.4
