4. Health and safety rules

4.1 Requirements of framework regulation 1935/2004

Plastic materials and articles intended for food contact must comply with the rules of plastic regulation 10/2011, but must also meet a number of requirements of framework regulation 1935/2004 of October 27, 2004 concerning all materials and articles intended for food contact regardless of the material (Regulation 2016/1416 of August 24, 2016, recital 34 + annex point 4 amending annex IV point 5 of the framework regulation).

Plastic materials and articles, products from intermediate stages of manufacture and substances used to manufacture a plastic material must comply with the following provisions of framework regulation 1935/2004.
