cyanobacteria (cyanobacterium) :

Bacteria capable of photosynthesis, which transforms light energy into chemical energy.

photobioreactor :

Closed system for producing photosynthetic microorganisms, such as microalgae, in a suitable culture medium.

biomass :

Organic matter of plant (including microalgae), animal, fungal or bacterial origin that can become a source of energy or, more exhaustively, a source of multiple bioproducts.

eco-extraction :

Discovery and design of extraction processes that reduce energy consumption, but also use alternative solvents and renewable plant resources, while ensuring the quality and safety of finished products for operators, consumers and our environment.
