Lighting has several functions:
to accomplish a task (work lighting) ;
give a perception of the environment while contributing to the previous function (mood lighting);
ensure traffic flow in normal times, as well as in special circumstances such as fire and/or panic (emergency lighting);
enhance all or part of a building ;
be energy-efficient.
