3. Mapping Smart Grid technologies
The deployment of a Smart Grids architecture is therefore based on the combination of several infrastructure and software layers enabling communication, measurement, control and monitoring (figure 1 ). On this basis, it is possible to imagine the creation of numerous services upstream and downstream of the meter.
The equipment to be used differs according to the layer it is intended for in the energy system architecture. A number of functions and components have already been in existence for several years. As a result, in modern networks such as France's, they have been deployed...
