4.1 Sampling – Sampling
The sampling method used depends on the target gas content to be measured, the sample (matrix effect) or the presence of other interfering elements. Sampling can be carried out in two different ways: with or without prior concentration.
If the level of CO 2 in the gas is sufficient, direct analysis can be carried out in situ. However, a sample can easily be taken in ampoules that have been evacuated, or in bags such as Tedlar®, Mylar®...; the analysis is then carried out in an external laboratory.
