How does the legislator define the different classification regimes for installations (or ICPE headings)?

In the last example (woodworking shop – heading 2410), two classification schemes have been associated with the plant:

  • authorization – if the power installed to power all the machines > 200 kW ;

  • declaration – power installed to power machines > 50 kW, but < 200 kW.

As a result, the legislator has set installed power as a criterion for classification. The greater the installed capacity, the more powerful the woodworking equipment (saw, edger, conveyor, etc.), which is a source of noise and wood particle emissions, and a potential source of electrical incidents that could lead to fire.
