8. Mistakes to avoid
8.1 Don't underestimate your facility's activities and products
It can be tempting to underestimate your activities and/or products in order not to exceed a classification threshold. However, this short-term calculation can expose your company to significant legal and economic risks. In the event of an inspection by an environmental inspector (notably following a complaint from a local resident or the denunciation of an employee), you will not only incur administrative and penal sanctions, but you will also have to ask the authorities to regularize your situation. However, the latter has the power to refuse to regularize your situation.
