3.1 Get help to prepare your files

The operator is solely responsible for his D or DC classified facility. However, to prepare his initial declaration file or "life file", he can call on his chamber of commerce and industry, or chamber of agriculture for a livestock farmer, or chamber of trades for a craftsman, or his professional federation to help him identify polluting activities on his site and diagnose their environmental impact.

Some specialized engineering firms, which are approved to carry out periodic inspections, can also provide a service for compiling declaration files.
