biotes
All living organisms (flora, fauna and fungi, as well as micro-organisms such as bacteria, yeasts, micro-fungi, etc.) present in a particular habitat (natural, semi-natural) or biotope.
ecotoxicology
Study of toxic pollutants in ecosystems. This scientific discipline lies at the interface between ecology and toxicology. Its aim is to assess the ways in which pollutants are introduced and circulate in ecosystems, from contaminated environments (air, water and soil) to living communities.
