Air ambiant ; Ambient air

Typical indoor air in production workshops with workers.

Air propre; Clean air

Air that has passed through a filtration device to lower its particle concentration according to size.

Protected area; Zone protégée

Area swept by clean air.

Mixing layer; Couche de mélange

The region separating two flows with different characteristics, where mixing takes place. This region can also be called an "interface".

Jet; Jet

Flow generated by an initial momentum or buoyancy and most often developing in a quiescent environment. The jet is a region of mixed fluid.
