1. What is a crisis unit?

The crisis unit is the team in charge of "steering" and organizing crisis management at the site. It consists of a small number of people whose main roles are to centralize information, make decisions and communicate.

The role of each member of the crisis unit should be defined in the reflex cards in your crisis management manual (see Preparing for an accident: crisis management plan [FIC 1218] ).
