2. Store, transport and load your waste

You must comply with the same handling and storage rules as for hazardous chemicals:

  • Identify and manage the risk of explosive atmospheres (ATEX directive).

  • Store rainwater under cover or, failing that, ensure that it is collected, monitored and treated before discharge.

  • Store liquid waste in retention tanks.

  • Separate storage and retention areas for incompatible products.

  • Transport procedures to prevent spills (securing drums).

  • Accident response resources: anti-pollution kits, fire extinguishers.
