3. Heat treatment

Thermal treatments are widely used to reduce volatile organic compounds and eliminate odorous molecules present in gaseous emissions. Relatively simple to use, they also have the advantage of implementing technologies typically found on industrial production sites.

3.1 Principle

Thermal emission treatment processes are based on total oxidation of odorous molecules. The general equation for the oxidation of an odorous organic molecule can be written in simplified form:
