1. The crisis management manual: what is it for?

1.1 Crisis

A crisis is the occurrence of a sudden, unwanted event, whether internal or external, resulting in human, financial or material losses that can have an impact on the life and continuity of the establishment.

Whatever the origin of the crisis, the plant manager must plan and implement the entire internal organization to ensure business continuity, personal safety and environmental protection.

This organization must be formalized in a crisis management manual in order to best manage crisis situations and limit negative impacts on :
