6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't neglect the physical environment of your installations

For example, it is important to take into account the density of ATEX vapors or gases, as volatile explosive substances (less dense than air) can accumulate in sloping ceilings, skylights or poorly ventilated spaces. In such cases, physical measures need to be taken to improve the area's environment and avoid areas where volatile substances can accumulate.
