Is it possible to protect industrial and commercial secrets?

Yes, certain provisions can, at your request, be excluded from public distribution when this could result in the disclosure of trade secrets. You must therefore send a written request to this effect to the prefect of your department, in which you :

  • indicate the items of information concerned and the secrets they infringe;

  • ask that these items be excluded from public distribution.

The regulations do not specify the conditions under which the Prefect may reject your request. In practice, however, it has been observed that the prefect of the département accepts the operator's request without difficulty.
