5. Detailed risk analysis (ADR)

5.1 Objective

The purpose of the ADR is to carry out a detailed study of the hazardous phenomena likely to lead to a major accident, i.e. those whose effects are likely to go beyond the plant's boundaries, and for which the level of risk of the P/G pairing justifies an additional analysis. The aim is to provide a more detailed characterization of the probability of occurrence, severity and kinetics of hazardous phenomena likely to lead to a major accident.

Tip: from a practical point of view, unlike the RPA, this phase of the risk analysis does not necessarily have to be carried out in a working group. On the other hand, the expertise of the working group set up during the RPA is required for certain stages of the RRA, such...
