2. Traceability in the environment

To address the use of traceability in the environment, we have used two sources of data: legal texts and normative texts. Based on these two sources, the notion of environmental traceability will be highlighted as a positive form of traceability.

2.1 Traceability specified in certain regulatory texts

An initial search of the use of traceability in regulatory texts concerning the environment leads us to three main areas: GMOs, "organic" products and waste extended to the notion of pollution or environmental impact. Next, we present the characteristics of implicit traceability in the environment. Finally, we'll conclude with an assessment of the safe and positive positioning of traceability.
