Repeal

Cancellation of the effects of a rule for the future.

Legislation, legislative rule

Texts adopted by representatives of the legislative branch (Parliament), which passes laws, as opposed to the executive branch (minister, prefect, local executive), which executes laws and court rulings, and the judicial branch (courts and tribunals), which adjudicates disputes.

Promulgation

This is the act of publishing a law in the Journal Officiel, which makes the law enforceable against everyone.

Ratification

Act by which the President of the Republic officially confirms what has previously been accepted by the signatory state of the international treaty.
