5.1 The non-classification situation
An activity or substance may be covered by the nomenclature, but not classified because it falls below the classification threshold.
The potential environmental risks associated with this activity or substance are considered low, and it is therefore not classified.
Example: a reading of heading 2930 of the ICPE nomenclature shows that the activity of repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and engines is classified if the workshop has a surface area of over 2,000 m 2 . Below 2,000 m 2 , the activity is not classified.
