4. How do CSSs and SPPPIs or S3PIs work together?

There may be close links between a CSS and a SPPPI or S3PI.

Formally:

• The SPPPI or S3PI can play a coordinating role for a CSS, and/or take charge of its secretariat.

• The "risks" committee of an SPPPI or S3PI can also carry out the tasks of a CSS.

On an informal basis, the SPPPI or S3PI supports the action of the CSSs located in its geographical area of competence, by promoting exchanges of experience and the circulation of information.
