6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't confuse CSSs with CLICs and CLISs

décret n° 2012-189 du 7 février 2012 on site monitoring commissions replaces local information and consultation committees (CLIC) for Seveso facilities and local information and monitoring commissions (CLIS) for waste processing facilities with site monitoring commissions (CSS).

However, existing CLICs or CLISs continue to perform the functions of site monitoring committees until their membership is renewed, with members appointed for a five-year term. They will therefore gradually disappear.
